Coach Nick Rolovich has been dismissed for cause and is not eligible coach. In his place Jake Dickert is now the interim head coach. Five other assistant coaches were also fired for cause. Seven assistant coaches remain and will take up the slack. We have comments from Pat Chun, President Schulz and the new head coach. Rolovich has sued WSU and we have info on the suit. Jake Dickert met with the media for the first time as the interim head coach at Washington State, one day after the school fired Nick Rolovich and four assistant coaches for failing to comply with Governor Jay Inslee’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate for state employees. “I’m extremely humbled and extremely honored to be sitting in front of you today,” Dickert said. “I want to thank Washington State University. I want to thank President (Kirk) Shulz. I want to thank (athletic director) Pat Chun and our athletic administration for the trust in me to lead our program through really unprecedented times.”
